The SkyTeam global airline alliance has strengthened its European presence with the opening of its new, exclusively designed lounge at Frankfurt Airport. This facility serves as the alliance’s flagship lounge on the continent, raising the service standard for elite passengers and premium classes.

A Space of Comfort in Frankfurt’s Terminal 3

SkyTeam’s new lounge is strategically located on the mezzanine level of the fourth floor, situated within the international zone (Non-Schengen area) of Terminal 3. Spanning 550 square meters, the venue has the capacity to accommodate 126 guests simultaneously.

The space’s design merges modernity with nature-inspired elements, offering panoramic views of the airfield. It is specifically designed to meet the needs of First Class and Business Class customers, as well as SkyTeam Elite Plus members.

Premium Amenities and Services

The facility has been equipped to provide a comprehensive experience covering both relaxation and productivity:

  • Wellness Areas: Showers available for freshening up before flights and a dedicated relaxation zone.
  • Connectivity: High-speed internet access and a soundproof phone booth for private or business calls.
  • Exclusivity: A reserved VIP space for enhanced privacy.

Local Gastronomy with Digital Innovation

The culinary offering is a cornerstone of the new Frankfurt lounge. Passengers can enjoy a curated selection of local and international cuisine prepared with regionally sourced ingredients.

  • Live Cooking: The lounge features a real-time cooking station.
  • Digital Menu: Using QR codes, guests can efficiently manage orders for hot dishes.
  • Regional Beverages: The selection includes a variety of traditional German wines and beers.

Connectivity and Eligible Airlines

Operations at this hub are managed in collaboration with Global Lounge Network. The hours of operation are directly linked to the alliance’s flight schedule, opening three hours before the first SkyTeam departure and closing after the final takeoff of the day.

Passengers traveling with the following airlines will have access to these facilities:

  • China Airlines
  • China Eastern
  • Delta Air Lines
  • Korean Air
  • Middle East Airlines (MEA)
  • Saudia
  • Vietnam Airlines

Patrick Roux, CEO of SkyTeam, emphasized that this opening reflects the alliance’s commitment to enhancing the airport experience in one of the region’s most important aviation markets, providing greater value to the most loyal customers of its member airlines.

Expansion of the Global Lounge Network

With this addition in Frankfurt, SkyTeam continues to expand its global network, which now exceeds 750 lounges worldwide. The brand operates its own facilities in key destinations such as Dubai, Santiago de Chile, Sydney, and Vancouver, in addition to its joint lounge with Global Lounge Network in São Paulo, consolidating a consistent, high-quality premium offering for the international traveler.
