EVA Air Launches Nonstop Flights Between Taipei and Washington D.C.

EVA Air on Friday inaugurated its new nonstop service between Taipei and Washington D.C., marking a significant milestone as it becomes the airline’s 10th gateway in North America. This route represents the first-ever nonstop connection between the two cities, strategically strengthening connectivity between Taiwan and the U.S. East Coast.

EVA Air President Clay Sun expressed gratitude for the strong support from partners who made expanding the network into the heart of the United States possible, highlighting the immense market potential in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. This route will optimize the airline’s network on the East Coast, offering premium-tier service for both business and leisure travelers.

Onboard Experience: Boeing 787-9 Configuration

The route between Washington D.C. and Taipei will operate four times a week using Boeing 787-9 aircraft. These airframes are configured in a three-class service layout:

  • Royal Laurel Class (Business Class)
  • Premium Economy Class
  • Economy Class

EVA Air’s Consolidation in North America

Following the launch of this route, U.S. travelers will benefit from a direct connection to Taipei with convenient access to the carrier’s extensive Asian network. With seamless transfers at its Taipei hub, EVA Air continues to expand its footprint in the North American market, where it now serves 10 destinations: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago, Washington D.C., Vancouver, and Toronto, totaling 98 weekly flights between the two regions.
