▶ Korean Air Expands Australian Footprint with Direct Seoul

Korean Air has announced seasonal non-stop service between Seoul’s Incheon International Airport and Melbourne, scheduled to operate from December 18 to March 14, 2027.

The new seasonal link will complement the carrier’s year-round scheduled operations to Sydney and Brisbane, bolstering its long-haul network to key economic and cultural hubs across Australia.

Operational Details

The route will be served using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, operating three times weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The scheduled itinerary for the service is as follows:

Flight KE409: Departs Incheon International Airport at 08:00 and arrives at Melbourne Airport at 20:30 (Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays).
Flight KE410: Departs Melbourne Airport at 22:00 and arrives at Incheon International Airport at 07:35 the following day (Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays).

This seasonal service will allow Korean Air to capture peak demand during the busy winter travel period, strengthening the airline’s intercontinental network while offering efficient connectivity between Seoul and key urban centers in the Pacific.
