A cargo plane, operated by Silverstone Air, crashed into a perimeter wall after leaving the runway at Mogadishu’s Aden Adde International Airport on Saturday.
Transport Minister Mohamed Abdullahi Salad said three of the four crew members were injured.

Abdullahi reported that the plane had just taken off for the city of Beledweyne, but had had to return to the airport after mechanical problems.
Somalia has seen at least two other such plane crashes so far this year. In July, a cargo plane carrying humanitarian aid crashed in Beledweyne. In May, six people died when an African Express plane carrying medical supplies crashed near Bardale.
