This Wednesday, Brazil’s Gol airline became the first airline in the world to commercially fly the Boeing 737 MAX since the planes were grounded 20 months ago after two accidents.

The first flight took off at 08:41 from Sao Paulo airport towards Porto Alegre, according to FlightRadar24.

Brazil’s civil aviation regulator, ANAC, lifted its order not to fly on the MAX at the end of November, following a similar decision by the US Federal Aviation Administration.
