A Rossiya Airlines Boeing 777 carrying cargo made an emergency landing Friday at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport due to problems with an engine control sensor, the airline said.

The plane was a 15-year-old 777-300ER, according to flight-tracking website FlightRadar24, which means it has General Electric engines, Reuters reported.
These engines are different from Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines, which are being examined after an engine fire on a United Airlines 777 on Saturday led to the suspension of operations of planes using these engines.

Russian airlines operate Boeing 777-300ER aircraft equipped with General Electric GE90-115B engines, the Rosaviatsiya federal aviation agency said Wednesday, adding that it was not considering suspending the operation of those planes.
Rossiya Airlines Flight 4520, which was traveling from Hong Kong to Madrid, landed in Moscow at 04:44 local time, according to Flightradar24 data.
“The landing took place normally,” the airline said in a statement, adding that the flight would continue on to Madrid after 0900 GMT on Friday.
