Avianca informed that it will operate the San Salvador-Ontario (California) route starting next July, with 3 weekly frequencies in Airbus A319 aircraft, providing passengers with 2,880 seats per month.
With this route, the airline expands the connectivity offer between Central America and the West Coast of the United States, as it currently has flights to cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco.

“After the resumption of air operations in the different markets, we see that the travel segment that is being reactivated the most is family and friends travel and in that sense Ontario becomes an ideal option for many Central American passengers who prefer to reach an airport closer to certain areas in California. We are pleased with this news and we are also aware that the route network must be increasingly flexible due to the uncertainty we are experiencing in the region,” said David Aleman, Avianca’s Managing Director for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
