U.S. records record number of air travelers since start of the pandemic.
More than 1.35 million people traveled by plane on Friday in the U.S., which is a record number since the measures began in that country by the pandemic of covid-19, reported Saturday the Transportation Security Administration (TSA, in English).
On Twitter, agency spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein announced that 1,357,111 people passed through security checks at U.S. airports on Friday, the highest number since March 15 last year.

The increase in travel coincides with the acceleration of the immunization campaign in the US, which on Friday surpassed 100 million doses of vaccines administered, more than any other country in the world in absolute terms.
The airline industry has been one of the hardest hit by the pandemic, although major U.S. airlines have received more than $35 billion in aid.
