Avianca informed this Friday that as of July 1st it will operate the San José-Miami route, with a daily frequency in Airbus A320 aircraft, making available to passengers more than 8,000 seats per month.
Flight AV690 will depart San José at 10:35 am, landing in Miami at 3:38 pm. Flight AV691 will take off from the city of the sun at 14:20, arriving at Juan Santamaría airport at 15:23, according to the airline in a press release.

The start of this operation is in line with the announcement made by the airline to offer non-stop flights between some of the markets in the region, as well as a simpler product for the customer to choose how they prefer to fly.
“We are seeing an important opportunity to strengthen connectivity options for passengers traveling between Costa Rica and Miami which is why we are launching a direct operation between the two markets in July. In addition, this decision also responds to a request that travelers have been making,” said David Alemán, Avianca’s General Director for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. He added that, to date, ticket sales are already available on Avianca.com, the MyAvianca mobile application, the Avianca Call Center and points of sale, as well as travel agencies.
