Iberia will be the first airline to launch the new IATA Travel Pass on routes between Europe and Latin America, specifically on its flights to Montevideo (Uruguay), the airline has announced.
IATA Travel Pass is a mobile application that helps passengers store, manage and verify their Covid-19 test certificates and, in a next step, vaccination certificates.

For Iberia, the certificate provides “a framework of consistency, predictability and safety worldwide with a dual objective”: to simplify the traveler experience and encourage travel and streamline the procedures for verifying health requirements.
Specifically, passengers on flight IB6011 Madrid-Montevideo on April 10 will be the first to test the new application, EuropaPress reported.
Covid, Quironprevención together with Recoletas Red Hospitalaria and the health area of ARQUIMEA are the laboratories and companies that have signed up for this IATA test launched by Iberia.
