After last week the Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco, indicated on Twitter the possibility of Qatar Airways starting passenger flights between Doha and Mexico City via Milan, the Qatari airline denied the information.

“We can formally confirm that we currently have no plans or intention to operate passenger services to Mexico City, either directly or as a fifth freedom transatlantic route from Milan or any European city”, reported via twitter the airline’s Director of Communications, Thierry Antinori.
“This is not part of our network strategy and our focus remains on rebuilding the network with Doha as the hub of operations”, he added.
