PLAY Airlines has added four new destinations to its summer schedule for 2022. From May it will start flying to Prague in the Czech Republic and Lisbon in Portugal, and from June it will fly to Bologna in Italy and Stuttgart in Germany.
PLAY is a new low-cost airline operating flights between Iceland and Europe. It is based at Reykjavik International Airport and began operations in June 2021. The airline’s current fleet of three Airbus A321neo aircraft connects passengers to sixteen destinations in Europe.
→ Iberia confirms will fly to Dallas, San Francisco and Washington next summer.
Next spring, PLAY plans to add new aircraft to its fleet before launching services to North America, offering transatlantic flights.
“These four new destinations will strengthen PLAY’s route program and open up Iceland as an ideal adventure for more Europeans. We are confident that these destinations will boost PLAY’s operations and that our flights between Iceland and these cities will be popular with locals,” said Birgir Jónsson, CEO of PLAY.
