Qatar Airways is considering refurbishing its existing fleet of about 34 freighters with the larger 777X Freighter in a deal that could be worth $14 billion at list prices, according to the people cited.
The airline has indicated it is willing to consider buying up to 50 freighters, with the larger number likely to include options.
