Aerolíneas Argentinas bets on inbound tourism from Brazil.

The President of Aerolíneas Argentinas, Pablo Ceriani received the Argentine Ambassador to Brazil, Daniel Scioli, the Minister of Transportation, Alexis Guerrera and the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Matias Lammens with the purpose of promoting the new schedule to and from Brazil, which as from April will add Brasilia, Curitiba and Porto Alegre as regular routes.

In the case of Brasilia, a route that was suspended during the previous administration in 2016, it will have 4 weekly frequencies to and from Aeroparque: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday as from the first week of April.

Aerolineas Argentinas will resume its daily flights to Madrid.

Curitiba will have 4 weekly frequencies: Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. To Porto Alegre there will also be 4 weekly frequencies: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Both from and to Aeroparque. In both cases, the destinations have not been operated since the beginning of the restrictions due to the pandemic.

“I welcome this decision of Aerolineas Argentinas to link again the capitals of the two countries because it will have a very positive impact on the commercial, institutional and tourist agenda,” Scioli said.

Ceriani said: “These are destinations that have a high business profile throughout the year and are a good opportunity to continue to boost the arrival of tourists to the country, especially for the winter season. To this end, it is very important to have the support of the Argentine Embassy in Brazil to promote corporate agreements, the expansion works and enhancement of the airport in charge of Transport and the work of Tourism with travel agencies and publicizing the country brand.”
