Aerolíneas Argentina confirmed this Friday that, as from April, it will have 1 daily flight between Buenos Aires and Madrid.
The announcement was made by the company’s commercial director, Fabián Lombardo, within the framework of the International Tourism Fair of Madrid (FITUR), in which Aerolíneas Argentinas participates together with the National Institute for Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR) with more than 30 tourism companies and 10 Argentine destinations.
→ LATAM distinguished as the world’s most punctual airline group in 2021.
“We have two main focuses: the connectivity of the interior of the country and bringing tourists from abroad, we will continue working to meet these objectives,” said Lombardo during the presentation at the fair.
The return of the daily operation to and from Madrid will take place one month before the beginning of the high season period in Europe, so the company also held meetings with major European tour operators to promote flights with offers and packages that also include the connection with the main tourist destinations in the country.
→ SKY is recognized for second consecutive year for having newest fleet in South America.
“These are two extra flights that we are adding and that mean returning to the traditional scheme of 7 weekly flights to Madrid. It is a very important expansion of the offer that will serve to boost the arrival of European tourists to Argentina”, explained Pablo Ceriani, president of Aerolíneas Argentinas.
Since January, the airline increased from 4 to 5 weekly frequencies: Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
It should be recalled that Aerolíneas Argentinas does not operate daily to Madrid since March 2020, at which time worldwide restrictions will begin.
