U.S.-based Delta Air Lines said Friday it is suspending its jointly operated codeshare services with Russia’s national carrier, Aeroflot.
“We have withdrawn our code from Aeroflot-operated services beyond Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport and have withdrawn Aeroflot’s code from Delta-operated services from Los Angeles and New York-JFK,” the airline said in a statement
The move would have been taken as a consequence of the invasion ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin into Ukraine.
