Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 received the “Aerodrome Certificate”, granted by ANAC, for the Teniente Benjamín Matienzo International Airport in the province of Tucumán. It did so in accordance with the international rules and regulations established by ICAO, which legitimizes compliance with airport design and operation standards, through the preparation and presentation of the “Aerodrome Manual” after a documentary and field audit process.

The Manual had been submitted in October 2021 and was subject to the audit process carried out by ANAC and AESA (Agencia Estatal de Seguridad Aérea, dependent of EASA “European Aviation Safety Agency”) from November 8 to 12 at the airport. Evaluations were carried out on the facilities, services, equipment and operational procedures, ensuring that they meet and guarantee the required operational safety standards; as well as on-site inspections on procedures, organization, Operational Safety System (SMS) of the Aerodrome and competence and suitability of the key personnel in charge of the airport operation.
The “Certification of an Aerodrome” means that the State can demonstrate that the airport continuously complies with the Operational Safety requirements established in international regulations and provides uniform conditions to all aircraft operating in it.
The certificate was delivered by Paola Tamburelli, head of ANAC.
