Venezuela ratifies will maintain “regular flights” with Russia
Venezuela’s Minister of Tourism, Alí Padrón, ratified this Thursday that the Caribbean country will guarantee the continuity of “regular flights” with Russia through the state-owned airline Conviasa, after the invasion of Ukraine by the Eurasian country.
“I held an extraordinary meeting via telephone with Zarina Dogozuva, head of the Russian Federal Tourism Agency, in which we agreed on the following agreements: to guarantee the continuity of regular flights through the Venezuelan airline Conviasa and increase its connectivity,” the minister wrote on his Twitter account.

He also stated that the Caribbean nation “is ready” to continue receiving Russian tourists through the Moscow-Porlamar route, EFE reported.
“Currently, flights by Russian airlines are limited, due to the closure of airspace imposed by several European countries, Canada and the United States,” Padrón added.
On Wednesday, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced that the Caribbean country will maintain trade relations with Russia, after several nations and blocs opted to disassociate themselves.
