Aerolíneas Argentinas confirmed this Monday that it will operate a new route connecting Sao Paulo (Brazil) with Córdoba and El Calafate starting in July.

The route will have two weekly frequencies (Mondays and Fridays) and will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft with capacity for 170 seats.

“It is great news to be able to confirm this route, whose main objective is to continue feeding the network of flights from Brazil, with a route that combines a corporate and tourist profile and that is part of the flight scheme that we have been announcing with the aim of boosting regional traffic,” said Pablo Ceriani, head of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

Aerolineas Argentinas to resume flights to Havana (Cuba).

Last week, the company confirmed two new routes connecting Sao Paulo with San Martin de los Andes and Ushuaia. These flights are in addition to the previously announced Sao Paulo – Bariloche and Sao Paulo – Salta – Tucumán.

Thus, Aerolíneas Argentinas adds a new route to the neighboring country for a winter season that is expected to have record levels of passengers arriving from Brazil.

Aerolíneas Argentinas currently operates a total of 49 weekly frequencies to Brazil with flights to and from Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador de Bahía, Brasilia, Curitiba and Porto Alegre.
