Azores Airlines announced Wednesday that it will fly between Ponta Delgada (São Miguel Island) and Barcelona (Spain) starting June 1.

The route will operate two weekly frequencies (Wednesday and Friday) in an Airbus A321 with capacity for 186 passengers.
Azores Airlines belongs to the SATA Group. From its hub on the island of São Miguel, the airline connects the Azores with Europe and North America.
