Iberojet announces direct flights between Madrid and Santiago de Cuba

Iberojet, the airline owned by Ávoris Corporación Empresarial, announced on Wednesday that as from November 11, 2022 it will start operating a new route connecting Madrid with Santiago de Cuba, located in the east of the Caribbean island. This flight, which will be direct and non-stop, will operate once a week aboard an Airbus A330. The route will operate throughout the year.

In addition to offering a direct Madrid-Santiago de Cuba flight, Iberojet offers travelers who wish to get to know the country in depth the possibility of combining the airports of Santiago de Cuba and Havana to enter and leave the country and thus travel more comfortably and optimizing travel time.

Iberojet signs interline agreement with Air Europa.

The launch of this exclusive route once again demonstrates Iberojet’s firm commitment to Cuba, one of the airline’s star destinations and also one of the most sought-after by the Spanish market.

It is worth highlighting the increase in frequencies planned by Iberojet for the summer of 2022, from 3 flights a week Madrid-Havana to 5, plus one from Lisbon to Varadero in high season.

With this new route to Santiago de Cuba, Iberojet will continue to offer a total of three flights a week from November and after the summer season, two from Madrid to Havana and one to Santiago de Cuba.

Paul Verhagen, Iberojet’s deputy general manager, commented on the occasion of this announcement that “With the opening of this new route to the emblematic city of Santiago de Cuba, Iberojet once again demonstrates its firm commitment to Cuba, a country we have been flying to since the start of our operations in 2013″.
