JetBlue said Tuesday that it will delay the start of service between Boston and London, citing delays in the delivery of new Airbus aircraft as the cause.
The carrier said it now plans to start services from Boston to London-Gatwick Airport on Aug. 4 and to London-Heathrow on Sept. 20, originally scheduled for July 19 and Aug. 22, respectively.

Jetblue began flying to London from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport in 2021, using a new fleet of Airbus A321LR aircraft.
The airline said it expected to take delivery of two additional A321LRs this summer, which it planned to use to enable flights to Boston, but added that it was recently notified by Airbus of a production delay.
Affected passengers will be rebooked on connecting flights to London via JFK.
