KLM cancels up to 50 flights a day this weekend due to overcrowding at Amsterdam airport
The Netherlands’ KLM will cancel up to 50 flights a day this long weekend due to saturation at Amsterdam-Schiphol airport, the airline said Friday.
This will include Friday and Monday, a national holiday in the Netherlands.

Passengers on the affected flights will be re-accommodated on other flights, the company added.
Schiphol Airport, Europe’s third-busiest airport, has been struggling with overcrowding due to a shortage of security staff. Earlier this week, the airfield agreed to increase salaries during the summer period and hire more staff.
To avoid crowds, Schiphol has asked passengers to arrive no more than four hours in advance.
