WestJet launched flights to Edinburgh, Scotland, from Toronto Pearson International Airport on Thursday. With the addition of this route, the airline will now fly nonstop to five European destinations from Toronto this summer, including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dublin, London-Gatwick and Barcelona, Spain.

The new transatlantic flight will operate during the peak season, three times a week. WestJet currently offers flights to two Scottish destinations with services to Edinburgh and Glasgow from Toronto, and flights between Halifax and Glasgow.
“We are delighted that Edinburgh will be the latest European connection to open from Toronto this summer, completing the restoration of our network and strengthening our offering from Toronto. These cities are some of the world’s most vibrant and iconic destinations and we are working diligently as demand for international travel continues to increase,” said John Weatherill, WestJet’s Chief Commercial Officer.
