They propose raising mandatory retirement age for commercial pilots to 67

US Senator Lindsey Graham said Monday that he is proposing legislation that would raise the mandatory retirement age for commercial pilots from 65 to 67.

Boeing could be forced to cancel 737 MAX 10.

Graham’s proposal would require pilots over the age of 65 to maintain a first-class medical certification, which must be renewed every six months.

The proposal comes as many regional airlines have said they face a significant pilot shortage.
