Volaris presented this Wednesday nine additional connections from the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA). The routes to Mérida, Mexicali and Huatulco have already started operations, while those to Puerto Escondido, La Paz, Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, Oaxaca and Los Cabos will begin on September 15 and 16.

Holger Blankenstein, executive vice president of Volaris, explained the importance of the AIFA to consolidate the offer in the metropolitan area: “the demographic evolution of the populations near the airport favors our bus-switching strategy, whose objective is to take more people from the bus to the plane , because the middle class is growing within the age group with greater digital knowledge and purchase decision”.
With 11 routes and 19 daily operations, Volaris is the main operator of the AIFA and the metropolitan airport system. With the addition of these routes, the airline offers one million seats per month, with more than a thousand flights at the Mexico City International Airport, 140 at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport and more than 100 at the Toluca International Airport.
