Panama’s Copa Airlines inaugurated flights to Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA), located in the metropolitan area of Mexico City, a new alternative that increases connectivity to and from the Mexican capital and the State of Mexico in a direct and efficient manner.
Flight CM119 to the new AIFA will operate with three weekly frequencies on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing at 9:20 a.m. from Tocumen International Airport, Panama (local time) and arriving at Felipe Angeles International Airport in Mexico City at 1:16 p.m. (local time). The return flight CM117 will depart the same days at 3:29 p.m., arriving in Panama at 7:22 p.m. (local time).
→ Copa Airlines received its eighteenth Boeing 737 MAX.
“We are pleased to continue to increase the offer and strengthen the air connection between Mexico and Panama with the rest of Latin America and the Caribbean. Through the inauguration of this new option to Mexico City and the State of Mexico, we seek to offer a variety of international connections in a safe and secure manner and world-class service, while contributing to the development of tourism and economic activity in these areas,” said Maria Luisa Navarro, senior director of government relations for Copa Airlines.
This new flight becomes the airline’s new frequency to the capital, complementing current flights to Mexico City’s Benito Juarez International Airport (AICM), allowing Copa Airlines to increase connectivity and consolidate its operations in Mexican territory.
Thanks to this new flight, passengers wishing to fly in or out of Mexico City and the State of Mexico will benefit from the connectivity offered by Copa through the Hub of the Americas, located at Tocumen International Airport in Panama City.
