The Panamanian Copa Airlines received a new Boeing 737 MAX. The aircraft, which landed in Panama City on Friday from Seattle’s Boeing Field Airport, is the airline’s 18th MAX 9 and the fifth delivered this year.
The new aircraft is registered as HP-9918CMP with MSN number 44179/8319.

“The delivery of this aircraft will help continue the expansion of the Hub of the Americas with more frequencies and destinations for the comfort of our passengers. It will be one more step in our efforts to increase our capacity to meet passenger demand,” said José Montero, Senior Vice President of Finance for Copa Airlines.
This aircraft is part of a sale and lease agreement between the Panamanian airline and Aviation Capital Group (ACG), and becomes the eighth aircraft that Copa leases from ACG, the other seven are of the 737-800 variant.
The lessor said this deal will also cover other aircraft.
