Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport has opened a new lounge for remote boarding, located in T1, to improve the passenger experience by offering greater comfort when boarding and while waiting for their flight.
This lounge, which has a surface area of 1,500 m2, is in addition to a second lounge of 930 m2, which was opened during the summer, located in the north boarding area of T2, and a third, of 700 m2, which will soon be put into operation in the south area of the same terminal.

These are pre-boarding lounges for travelers who do not access the aircraft via gangways, but rather the aircraft are parked in remote positions.
The new remote boarding lounge in T1 has 6 new gates (A9, A10, A11, A12, A13 and A14). The one located to the north of Terminal T2 has 3 gates (D161, D162 and D163), and the one that will open soon, also in Terminal T2, but to the south of it, has another 3 (C148, C149 and C150).
All in all, Terminals 1, 2 and 3 will have a total of 12 new boarding gates that will improve the passenger process and provide greater fluidity, in very bright spaces with direct access to the apron.
The investment in these three lounges amounted to 4.2 million euros.
