As of December 6, 2022, Qatar Airways will increase its capacity on flights to and from Perth, Australia. Previously operated by the Boeing B777-300ER, passengers will now have the opportunity to travel aboard the Airbus A380, which features a three-class configuration.

This upgrade is part of the recent strategic partnership between Qatar Airways and Virgin Australia. The codeshare significantly expands both airlines’ networks, lounges and loyalty programs, bringing significant benefits and new destinations to travelers.
“We want to show our commitment to Australia by continuing the work we did during the pandemic to keep Australians connected. During the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, all flights to and from Perth will be scheduled with football match times in mind so that all fans can enjoy the biggest event of the year,” said CEO of the Qatar Airways Group, Akbar Al Baker.
