Spain’s Iberia was once again Europe’s most punctual airline in September, as accredited by the international consultancy Cirium -formerly known as FlightStats-. This is the fourth consecutive month in which the airline has topped the podium, in a particularly difficult summer at many European and U.S. airports.
In September, 84% of the 13,523 flights operated by Iberia arrived on time at their destination.

“Punctuality is one of the values most appreciated by our customers, which is why we are proud to occupy the first position on the punctuality podium for yet another month, and it encourages us to continue working in this direction. These figures are a reflection, above all, of the effort, commitment and dedication to service of our employees,” said Javier Sánchez-Prieto, Iberia’s Chairman and CEO.
The Cirium ranking also places Iberia in the top 10 of the world’s most punctual airlines, also for the fourth consecutive month. This September it ranks seventh, as it did in July, and was fifth for the month in August and June.
