IndiGo takes delivery of its first Airbus A321P2F

IndiGo, India’s leading airline, has taken delivery of its first Airbus A321P2F, converted from passenger to freighter, which was leased from Castlelake Aviation Holdings Limited.

The aircraft will be used on both domestic and international routes, carrying valuables, express shipments, perishables, documents and couriers.

IndiGo introduces innovative “Three-Point Disembarkation System”.

“We are delighted to take delivery of our first A321 freighter aircraft. Our partnership with Airbus for the freighter program will help further strengthen our business in the segment, and act as a strong economic growth engine for the country,” said Mahesh Malik, Chief Commercial Officer, IndiGo CarGo.

The A321P2F is one of the most efficient narrow-body freighters, offering 24 container positions and carrying a payload of up to 27 tons.
