Virgin Australia launches Middle Seat Lottery
Virgin Australia has just launched the Middle Seat Lottery, which will only be available to those who sit in that seat during a flight.
The middle seat, which has always struggled for popularity, will become the luckiest seat on the plane, with more than A$230,000 (US$145,000) in prizes to be distributed throughout the contest to customers who select or are assigned this seat when flying with the airline until April 23, 2023.

Each week, one winner will be randomly selected from among participating passengers and will be eligible to win one of 26 prizes, including: Platinum frequent flyer status (with 1 million points); a six-night Caribbean cruise; and a helicopter pub crawl, among others.
“Virgin Australia is an airline that does things differently and we are having a lot of fun with new and exciting innovations to make every part of the travel experience more wonderful,” said Jayne Hrdlicka, Virgin Australia Group CEO.
