Italy is being one of the Iberia Group’s big bets during this winter season, and between Iberia, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional / Air Nostrum will add more than one million seats on routes between Madrid and seven Italian destinations, which is 17% more compared to 2019.
This winter the Iberia Group has scheduled direct, daily flights from seven Italian cities: Rome, Milan, Venice, Bologna, Florence, Turin and Naples, which will allow the best connections via Madrid with Iberia’s network of destinations in Latin America and the USA.
Rome, more seats and flights than ever
This winter season, which runs until March 25, the airline will offer more seats and more frequencies in Rome than before the pandemic and is also above its historical maximum capacity. The airline will fly a minimum of five times a day between Madrid and Rome, reaching six flights on Fridays and Sundays.

In addition, this route is operated with an Airbus A321, with a capacity of 200 passengers, allowing the number of seats offered to increase to 327,000, placing it 34% above 2019 levels.
Growth in other Italian cities
The group is also growing in Milan, the 2019 frequencies are recovered, five daily flights (three from Linate and two from Malpensa), with an increased supply of seats for this winter (259,000, up 7% compared to 2019).
In Venice and Bologna, Iberia Group will offer three daily flights at each destination, 162,000 and 89,000 seats respectively, matching 2019 capacity.
In Florence, the company has scheduled a daily flight and more than 74,000 seats and, in Naples, it will operate ten flights a week, which is 12% more capacity compared to 2019, exceeding 73,000 seats. In Turin it will operate 14 weekly frequencies (60,000 seats), three more than in 2019.
