Dominican airline Arajet will modify its flights between Santo Domingo and Monterrey starting next January 10, by operating the route only seasonally, to take advantage of peak passenger demand dates between both cities.

Arajet inaugurated the route in September of this year and currently operates two weekly frequencies (Tuesdays and Fridays).

The airline explained that this modification aims to maintain the route in the long term, reinforcing its commitment to Mexico.

Arajet offers $9.99 flights to Dominican Republic from Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador for this Christmas season

“As of January 10, 2023, Arajet will operate its direct route between Santo Domingo and Monterrey through temporary flights that will take advantage of peak passenger demand dates between the two cities throughout the year,” the company stated in an official position.

Passengers in Monterrey whose travel plans are modified by this decision, will be covered by the airline’s operation from Mexico City and will be able to make their flights on the same date, to and from their final destination through the Arajet network and other companies, it specified.

With respect to its route to Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA), the company stated that it remains the best-selling destinations, along with Guatemala and El Salvador, reported Milenio.
