Avianca announces three new routes between Colombia and Ecuador
Avianca announced the launch of three new direct routes between Ecuador and Colombia: Medellín-Guayaquil, Cartagena-Guayaquil and Medellín-Quito.
The routes from Cartagena and Medellin to Guayaquil will start on March 26 with three weekly frequencies (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday).

The Medellín-Quito route will begin operating on March 28 with four weekly frequencies (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday).
“Connectivity between Colombia and Ecuador is key for Avianca. An example of this is that, so far in 2022, we have already transported close to 470,000 travelers on more than 3,740 flights between the two countries and we have mobilized close to 50,000 tons to and from Ecuador. With these three new operations, we complete 20 routes in Medellín, 11 in Cartagena and 15 more in Ecuador. This is how we continue to consolidate our Avianca to everyone, with more direct routes and a flexible and tailored product so that more travelers in Latin America can fly,” said David Alemán, Avianca’s Director of Sales for Colombia and South America.
