SWISS Airlines announced Tuesday that, starting in 2025, it will gradually introduce five Airbus A350-900 aircraft to its fleet. The new aircraft will replace the airline’s four remaining Airbus A340-300s in the long term.
SWISS said it will equip its Airbus A350-900s with an innovative, high-quality cabin interior that will further enhance the travel experience for its customers in all seating classes.

The five aircraft in question are part of a total order of twenty-five A350-900s that the Lufthansa Group placed in 2019.
“We are very pleased to have achieved our turnaround following the coronavirus crisis and to have returned to a sound financial path,” says SWISS CEO Dieter Vranckx. “Thanks to this, we are now in a position to invest again in the future of our company, in our people and in the quality we offer our passengers. With this major planned modernization of our long-haul aircraft fleet, we are setting a vital course for sustainably maintaining our competitive edge in the long term.”
