Venezuela will expand routes from Madrid to different destinations in the country through charter flights every 10 days, as part of its bet for the expansion of air connectivity with Europe, according to the Minister of Tourism, Alí Padrón, on Thursday.
The official made the announcement, through his Twitter account, after holding a meeting with the CEO and vice-president of the Spanish airline Plus Ultra, Roberto Roselli and Julio Martínez, respectively, within the framework of the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) 2023, held in Spain.

“We announced, together with Roberto Roselli, CEO and Julio Martínez, vice-president of Plus Ultra, the expansion of routes from Madrid to different destinations in Venezuela, implementing charter flights, one every 10 days, with the Madrid-Isla de Margarita route”, he indicated.
Earlier, he informed, also on Twitter, of another “fruitful” working meeting with the director of Institutional Relations of the airline Air Europa, Manuel Panadero López.
“We will have good news for the expansion of air connectivity with Europe,” Padrón assured and shared images of the meetings held with the Venezuelan delegation present at Fitur.
The minister did not offer details on the content of the meeting with Air Europa, nor if an agreement was reached in order to work on the expansion of connectivity.
