Xiamen Airlines takes delivery of its first Airbus A321neo
China’s Xiamen Airlines, which until now operated only Boeing aircraft, welcomed its first Airbus aircraft, an A321neo, on Sunday.
The aircraft, leased from CMB Financial Leasing, is the airline’s 163rd.
Xiamen plans to start commercial services with the aircraft in the spring of this year, and will cover routes flying to Beijing Daxing International Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Chengdu Tianfu International Airport in Sichuan province.

Xiamen Airlines’ A321neo aircraft is powered by CFM International LEAP-1A engines and configured to carry 208 seats, eight in Business Class and 200 in Economy Class.
Xiamen Airlines has relied primarily on Boeing since its inception in 1984. It currently has a total of 162 aircraft from the U.S. manufacturer, 150 B737s and 12 B787s.
