LATAM Cargo has just inaugurated its new Cargo Terminal (TECA) at Florianópolis Airport (Brazil). The new structure has nearly 1,000 m² and is 40% larger than the previous one. This increase aims to optimize the handling, preparation and storage operations of the air cargo that the company transports in the capital of Santa Catarina, reducing the average time for cargo release and reception by 1 hour.
“The transformation of our operations and the new terminal in the region allows us to guarantee more safety, comfort and accessibility to our customers. The growth of our operations within the airport improves our service times, guarantees higher quality handling and increases our productivity, generating more business and better service to our customers,” commented Otávio Meneguette, Director of LATAM Cargo in Brazil.

The airline currently has direct flights from Florianópolis to Brasilia (6 weekly flights), São Paulo/Congonhas (41 weekly flights), São Paulo/Guarulhos (34 weekly flights) and Rio de Janeiro/Santos Dumont (10 weekly flights).
Regarding international flights, it is worth recalling that LATAM Cargo doubled the capacity of its Miami-Florianópolis route in the second half of 2022. The operation, inaugurated in August 2020, operates two flights per week with Boeing 767-300F aircraft. The two weekly flights can carry up to 110 tons of cargo.
