Viva Aerobus announced that it will operate a new route between Monterrey and Bogota (Colombia) starting on June 8, connecting the state of Nuevo Leon directly with South America for the first time.

The route will operate two flights a week on Airbus A320 aircraft.

Viva Aerobus to fly between Monterrey and Mexicali starting in June

“This new route builds a bridge between two twinned countries and becomes a milestone for Monterrey’s connectivity, as it is the first time that an airline offers point-to-point flights between this city and a destination in South America. These flights, at low prices and in new aircraft, will become natural allies to boost commercial, tourist and cultural exchange,” said Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of Viva Aerobus.

Commitment to air connectivity Monterrey

At the beginning of the year, Viva Aerobus has reaffirmed its commitment to Monterrey’s air connectivity by launching, in less than two weeks, two new routes from the Sultana del Norte to Mexicali and, now, Bogota.

In this way, the extensive route network that Viva operates in the capital of Monterrey, one of its six operating bases, continues to grow to consolidate the airline as a leader in the state with about 60 daily flights, 30 domestic routes and now with 8 international services.
