Iberia is preparing for an Easter Week in which it will deploy 6% more capacity – measured in seats – than in 2019. From April 2 to April 10, the company will offer nearly 420,000 seats, already surpassing the figures of the last pre-pandemic Easter.
In addition, this year Easter coincides with the start of the summer season for the airline industry, which opened this weekend, so Iberia customers will have at their disposal all the increases in flights and destinations scheduled by the company from April onwards.

“In the aftermath of the pandemic, we see that travel has climbed up the list of our customers’ priorities and, as proof of this, demand continues to be very robust for this Easter. At Iberia we continue to move forward with our plans to increase capacity and this Easter we will offer six percent more seats,” said María Jesús López Solás, Iberia’s Commercial, Network and Alliances Director.
Medium and long-haul destinations
Iberia has reinforced its routes with additional flights to Athens, Budapest, Geneva, Marrakech and Oslo, in addition to the growth already planned for the start of the summer season in destinations such as Milan, Paris, Rome and Venice.
In April, the company will also resume its route to Washington with four weekly frequencies. It has also increased frequencies to cities such as Boston, Chicago (both with daily flights), Dallas (five weekly flights) and Los Angeles (four weekly frequencies).
