Arajet transported more than 80,000 passengers in the first quarter of 2023

Arajet consolidated its position as the Dominican airline that transports the most passengers to and from the country, and entered the select list of the 12 leading international airlines in passenger movement, according to the aviation report published by the Civil Aviation Board, which reviews the transportation figures in the Dominican Republic during January, February and March 2023.

Said report indicates that Arajet transported more than 80 thousand passengers in the first quarter of the year, positioning itself as the number 1 Dominican airline, followed by SkyHigh with more than 20 thousand passengers and Air Century with almost 12 thousand.

“We are already part of a select list of leading airlines in passenger transportation to and from the Dominican Republic, which reflects the preference and trust that Dominicans and foreigners have placed in Arajet, and the commitment and dedication of our team,” said Victor Pacheco Mendez, CEO and founder of the airline. “We will continue to strengthen our offer and service, offering new routes to South America, the United States and Canada, which will allow us to close the year with more than 300 thousand passengers transported and thus enter the top 10 airlines that carry the most passengers in the Dominican Republic.”

Arajet will offer almost 400 thousand seats in the upcoming winter season

Arajet operates flights to 17 destinations in 11 countries in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean, and since its entry into the market on September 15, 2022, has transported almost 180 thousand passengers throughout its route network.

To celebrate this milestone, Arajet launched from this Wednesday until Sunday, April 23, a promotion with tickets from US$9.90 each way to travel from any of its 17 destinations: Mexico City, Cancun, San Salvador, Guatemala City, San Jose, Bogota, Medellin, Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Lima, Quito, Guayaquil, Aruba, Curacao, St. Marteen and Kingston to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to fly from next May 10 and until March 03, 2024 (taxes and fees not included).

Arajet expects to increase its fleet from 5 to 10 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft in the coming months, as well as the opening of new routes, which will enable the entry of more tourists to the Dominican Republic. On the other hand, as of April 20, the airline will allow the use of Visa and Mastercard credit cards for purchases on board all its flights. Dominican pesos and dollars in cash will continue to be accepted without restrictions.
