After four years and as planned, commercial flights between Venezuela and Curaçao will be resumed in the next few days, as announced by the president of the Venezuelan National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC), Juan Teixeira Diaz, announcing that as from Monday, April 3, the route to and from Curaçao will be activated.

“As of #today April 3, at 6 am, as agreed by both governments, the route to and from Curaçao is open. We have worked with the Aeronautical Authority of the Caribbean Island so that all the technical conditions for commercial flights are met. There are already several airlines presenting requirements and proposals and in a few days they will start flying”, Teixeira published in his twitter account.

For its part, Curacao Airport Partners (CAP) expressed its excitement for the reopening of the border, considering that it will provide greater opportunities to the industry and will stimulate tourism and the economy in general on the island.

According to sources, three Venezuelan airlines are authorized to fly to the island: Laser Airlines, Albatros Airlines and Avior Airlines.
