Venezuelan airline Conviasa announced that it will fly between Caracas and Damascus (Syria) as from May 30.
The route will operate every 15 days in Airbus A340-600 aircraft, and fares will start at US$1,696 round trip.

Flights will take off from Maiquetia Airport at 14:30, arriving in Damascus at 11:10 the following day (local time). From the Syrian capital they will depart at 23:45, landing in Caracas at 06:25 the following day (local time).
In January, the airline announced that it would increase its international offer by 30% this year with the recovery of routes in Latin America and the incorporation of connections between cities such as Havana, Damascus, Tehran and Moscow.
