Iberia offers a new method of payment in installments to finance flights

The Spanish airline Iberia, together with Iberia Cards, has launched a new financing system so that customers can pay for their flights in convenient installments in the quickest and easiest way.

In this way, Iberia joins the growing trend of BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) payment methods in the travel industry and becomes the first Spanish airline to implement this proprietary payment option.

Travelers who purchase their flights through iberia.com will be able to finance purchases of up to 10,000 euros in a simple and quick process. Applying for financing takes less than a minute in just three steps. The only requirement is to fill in the customer’s basic information and then choose the installment plan that best suits their needs.

The installment payment will allow passengers to split the total cost of their tickets in convenient installments over the selected period (3, 6, 9 or 12 months). This solution will integrate several financing providers so that the Spanish airline’s customers will always get the best option.

Iberia Cards has a “multi-lender” platform, designed specifically for this project, which allows us to offer more competitive prices and better approval rates. Once the request is authorized, it is redirected directly to the booking confirmation page on iberia.com.

For the time being, this new method of payment in installments is available in Spain and is expected to be extended to other countries such as Italy, France, Germany and Belgium in the future.
