Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer received new orders Tuesday from American Airlines, Spain’s Binter and Avolon for its E-Jet jets, in deals announced at the Paris Air Show.
American Airlines has signed an order for seven new E175s. The aircraft will be operated by its subsidiary, Envoy Air. With deliveries to begin in the fourth quarter of 2023, Envoy’s fleet of E-Jets will increase to more than 141 aircraft by the end of 2024. The contract value amounts to $403.4 million at list price and will be included in Embraer’s order backlog by the second quarter of 2023.

Spain’s Binter also placed a firm order for six Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. This new order will bring the airline’s E2 fleet to 16 aircraft. At list price, the deal is valued at $504.7 million and deliveries will begin in the second half of 2024.
Avolon, an international aircraft leasing company, signed a sale and leaseback agreement with Porter Airlines for 10 new Embraer E-195-E2 aircraft, with a list price of US$841.2 million.
Porter took delivery of its first E195-E2 in February 2023 and plans to expand its fleet in the coming years, with 50 firm orders and the option to purchase an additional 50 aircraft.
