In the middle of the twenty-seventh national congress of travel agencies and tourism, the director of the Civil Aeronautics, Sergio Paris, announced that the low cost airline JetSMART will start operating in the island of San Andres in December.
“We are working with the entry of JetSMART (…) It will come here and will incorporate its fleet mainly in San Andres in December,” said the director of the Aerocivil.

According to Paris, the entry into operation of this low-cost airline will allow users to have a wider range of flights to the destination.
It is worth mentioning that on July 3 the Aerocivil approved the request to obtain permission to operate 27 routes in domestic markets, mainly from the city of Bogota.
