ITA Airways reported Monday that it took delivery of its fifth Airbus A220-300.

Named after Italian soccer legend Alessandro Mazzola, the Airbus A220-300 is the first in its class to be fully configured to ITA Airways’ new cabin design, which was designed by Walter De Silva.

The A220 is equipped with innovative elements to offer passengers a unique flight experience, ensuring superior comfort, thanks to wider seats, a new customized lighting system and larger windows.

The cabin offers 149 seats and is configured in two classes: Business and Economy. It features Safran leather reclining seats in blue and beige tones with USB power sockets.

The A220-300 is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity and customers can purchase different service packages tailored to their needs, including messaging, mail and streaming. Thanks to this system, passengers can also consult destination information via an interactive 2D map.
