ITA Airways reported Monday that it took delivery of its fifth Airbus A220-300.
Named after Italian soccer legend Alessandro Mazzola, the Airbus A220-300 is the first in its class to be fully configured to ITA Airways’ new cabin design, which was designed by Walter De Silva.
The A220 is equipped with innovative elements to offer passengers a unique flight experience, ensuring superior comfort, thanks to wider seats, a new customized lighting system and larger windows.

“Today we add to our fleet the first Airbus A220 fully built in accordance with ITA Airways’ new cabin design and the ultimate expression of Made in Italy,” said Francesco Presicce, Chief Technology Officer and Head of ITA Airways.
